Miles, Tell Us About Caroline...

Picture of Miles, Tell Us About Caroline...

Caroline Ivers Duncan was born in 1979 and raised in Houston, Texas with her younger brother Freddy. She attended St. John's School for ten years and was recruited to the University of Texas at Austin on a cross-country/track & field scholarship where she studied radio-television-film.

After college she helped launch one of the nation's preeminent holistic learning centers in Austin. She then spent the next 20 years as an owner's representative, doing everything from property management to private chefing for a variety of clients based in Texas, California and Colorado. Caroline has dedicated much of her life as an innovator in health and wellness and is constantly at the nexus of local food, water, nutrition and community health.

As an adoptee she thought life couldn't get any better after reuniting with her birth family. Then she met Miles, the love of her life. Caroline has always been an anthropologist of families. Her profound journey to understand who she is and where she came from is nothing short of amazing.

In her free time, Caroline shares her love of outdoor recreation volunteering with youth through the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program. She currently serves on the Board of the Lone Cone Legacy Trust and is a judicially appointed commissioner for the San Miguel Water Conservancy District.

It’s amazing when you meet someone for the first time and immediately know you’ve found your perfect mate. We feel so fortunate to share this journey together. We wake up every day and pinch ourselves to make sure our beautiful life is real. It’s so rare to find a partner who values the same things.

We love living a life that prioritizes exercise, wellness, nutrition and community connection. When not working, we can be found spending hours hiking, biking, swimming and skiing in the mountains. We love to create nutritious and delicious meals sourced from our neighbor’s ranches and farms. Caroline continues to integrate fitness and longevity into everything we do. Miles is a competitive mountain biker who regularly finds himself on the podium.

Above all else, being together in the wilderness is where we find our joy. We are thrilled to be building our life together on the beautiful land of San Miguel County.
